Paddys to increase Irish workforce by 28%
Operator commits to creating 610 new jobs at Dublin base by end of 2015.

Paddy Power will create an additional 610 jobs at its Dublin headquarters by the end of 2015, increasing its workforce in the Irish capital by more than 28% to 2,783.
The operator’s Power Tower headquarters will be formally opened today in the suburb of Clonskeagh in a move anticipated to target the international expansion of its online activities.
The jobs will be in the areas of e-commerce, technology, social media, quantitative research, risk management and online marketing, according to the Irish Times, as Paddys continues its expansion into regulated European markets and readies its US push.
The operator recently launched its Italian activities to augment a French presence supported by 2009’s landmark deal with Pari Mutuel Urbain and currently has around 30 staff there.
More recently it has targeted the Nevada online poker market securing a preliminary finding of suitability in July after a March application. Former Nevada Gaming Control Board chairman Mark Lipparelli suggested to eGaming Review earlier this month that this approval could accelerate the application process if and when the operator comes in for potential licensure in the Silver State.
Online activities contributed 80% of group revenues in Paddy Power’s recent H1 results with online net revenues rising 41% year-on-year to 191m.
The operator has released a number of new products in recent months, notable among them adding real-money play to social sports betting offering Betdash and launching mobile casino app Roller, while it was “ along with William Hill Online “ one of the first operators to go live with Playtech’s mobile bingo app.
