PKR launches mobile 3D blackjack
Available to players on Apple devices " freeplay mobile poker client to follow.
PKR has gone live with a 3D mobile blackjack offering available in the iTunes App Store for iPad and iPhone devices.
The game features non-poker content from the operator’s flagship offering, and its launch follows the release of a 3D roulette app earlier this year.
A play-for-fun mobile poker app is due to follow later this year, and chief operating officer Leon Walters said: “We’ve got a wealth of development experience here at PKR, and have brought 3D and high production values to the table while looking at how to really engage players.”
Neither the roulette or blackjack products exist in a real-money format at present, although such versions are described by PKR as being “in the works”. In the current format, players are able to earn achievements and purchase chips or bonus items using real money.
The operator last year brought out a 2D, quick-download “lite” client which is better-suited to multi-tabling than the 3D version and of which Walters said at the time: “If we want to do a partnership with somebody “ be it in America or even another European operator “ from a B2B perspective then [this is] something we realise we really require.”
