3G Studios signs partnership with Vegas' Eldorado Resorts
Video game specialist and casino group will launch freeplay and real-money games on jointly-branded website.
Video game developer 3G Studios has announced a partnership that will see it launch an online poker brand in conjunction with Eldorado Interactive, a subsidiary of the Eldorado Resorts casino group.
The companies will launch a series of freeplay poker and casino games in the coming months, with plans to launch an online, real-money poker site under a joint brand once licensing has been approved. 3G is one of more than 30 companies applied multiple interactive poker licences in Nevada, however it is unknown when it will appear on the state’s Gaming Control Board agenda.
Games set to be launched under the new joint brand include 3G Studios’ SlotALot Casino which can be played for virtual currency, and all will be developed for web browsers, tablets and smart phones.
The partnership represents the first between a video game specialist and a brick-and-mortar casino operator. To date, most partnerships in Nevada have consisted of a land-based casino and a specialist online gambling operator or service provider, including Stratosphere Casino owner American Casino and Entertainment Properties, which announced such a deal just last week.
James Kosta, founder and CEO of 3G Studios, said of the announcement: “3G Studios is proud to have our technology and gaming platforms used by one of the most well respected casino operators in Nevada. Eldorado has been expanding into new territories and we’re excited to be part of their expansion online.
“With our extensive experience in video game development, mobile gaming, social gaming and gambling technology, 3G Studios and Eldorado Interactive plan to deliver the next-generation gambling experience to a much wider demographic.”
