Full Tilt equipment flown to Isle of Man
PokerStars relocates computer hardware from Guernsey ahead of site's relaunch.

PokerStars has flown computer equipment associated with the operation of Full Tilt Poker from Guernsey to the Isle of Man.
The transportation, on a privately chartered Hercules military aircraft, has been described by the operator’s head of corporate communications Eric Hollreiser as “a big part” of the impending relaunch of the site and subsequent repayment of players.
PokerStars pledged to relaunch FTP on or before 6 November after completing its first US$225m payment to the United States Department of Justice in August, following a settlement the previous month.
The company, which already holds an Isle of Man licence for its dot.com, dot.eu, dot.co.uk and dot.net domains, has applied for licensure in the same jurisdiction for Full Tilt, which it intends to operate as a separate entity.
Hollreiser told Manx broadcaster MTTV: “We’re going through [the application] process now, and we have every hope and expectation that that licence will be approved.”
Meanwhile PokerStars.fr has signed a deal with French football club RC Lens which sees the operator offer exclusive tournaments to fans of the Ligue 2 club.
