Playtech in licensing deal with Spanish media giant
Mediaset España is home to several TV channels in the country, including terrestrial channels Cuatro and Telecinco.

Playtech has signed a licensing deal with Mediaset España, the Spanish-facing subsidiary of European broadcasting giant Mediaset.
The deal is anticipated to focus primarily on TV betting in the European Union country, however it also covers poker, casino, bingo and mobile and live dealer games.
Other Spanish licensees to use Playtech software include bet365, William Hill and Poker770, all of whom sit on the iPoker.es poker network.
Meanwhile earlier this week saw Betfair ink a deal with Playtech which will see the London-listed operator join the ring-fenced poker network as well as its dot.it equivalent.
The wider Mediaset company was founded by former Italian premier Silvio Berlusconi and has a presence in countries such as Italy, China and Serbia. It counts Berlusconi’s son Pier Silvio as its vice chairman.
Its Spanish portfolio includes terrestrial channels Cuatro and Telecinco, with the former having broadcasted the Euro 2012 football championships, which was won by Spain.
Other media companies in Spain have secured egaming licences since the market opened in June, with terrestrial channel Antena 3 and Marca owner Unidad Editorial among the most notable.
