Probability names new non-exec chairman
Former Sherwood International CEO Mike Shinya replaces Graham Parr with immediate effect.

Technology industry veteran Mike Shinya has been named as the new non-executive chairman of mobile operator Probability, taking on the role with immediate effect as previous incumbent Graham Parr retires from the board.
Shinya has previously served as CEO of software solutions provider Sherwood International “ overseeing its £65m sale to SunGard Data in 2003 “ while he more recently held a similar role with Swedish-listed software company IBS.
Probability CEO Charles Cohen said of the new chairman: “Mike brings immense experience to Probability in terms of fast changing technology and in growing small companies into substantial enterprises.”
Cohen cited the company’s momentum in the UK and possibilities further afield, reflecting the positive outlook expressed in this week’s full-year results statement, and made reference to opportunities in Italy and further afield following the acquisition of B2B provider Playyoo in July.
Playyoo founder Rocco Pellegrinelli joined the board of Probability following that deal, with Cohen saying at the time that “His insights into the Italian and other European markets will be extremely helpful.”
