ISPT receives official clearance for Wembley event
Brent Council approves the use of the football stadium for hybrid poker event next year.

The International Stadiums Poker Tour (ISPT) has received clearance from Brent Council to use Wembley Stadium for its inaugural event next year.
The council has provided confirmation to ISPT and its partner Global Gaming Events that the venue may be used pursuant to a Temporary Use Notice.
ISPT, founded by Laurent and Bernard Tapie and Prosper Masquelier, has signed up more than 2,700 players for the tournament which will begin on 31 May 2013 with 30,000 players on laptops inside the stadium before continuing in the live format when all but 10% of the field has been eliminated.
Global Gaming Ventures Ltd joins Groupe Partouche as a partner of ISPT, with the latter due to launch a French-facing poker network later this year with Mypok confirmed as one of the sites involved.
eGR understands that the network will hold online satellites for the ISPT main event, while live qualifiers are set to be held at the Tanger Poker Festival in Tangiers this week.
