Zynga bolsters casino offering with slots launch
Zynga Slots launches on iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch " VP of mobile hints at further casino games on the platform.
Social gaming giant Zynga has announced the launch of Zynga Slots on the iOS platform which the operator describes as “the most social slots game to date.”
The product was developed by the team responsible for Zynga Poker, with players able to win higher jackpots based on the number of friends they recruit to play alongside them, and a number of bonus games and themes based on other Zynga products including FarmVille and Hanging with Friends.
Commenting on the launch vice president of Zynga Mobile Justin Cinicolo said: “As Zynga’s second mobile casino game, Zynga Slots brings the thrill of Las Vegas slot machines to the palm of players’ hands while introducing social elements for players to share the excitement with their friends.
“We’re continually listening to player feedback on the kinds of games they enjoy playing, and we’ll be sure to bring more high-quality iOS games to players based on the genres they enjoy,” he explained.
Mobile has become an increasingly important channel for Zynga, with founder and CEO Mark Pincus revealing that the operator controlled the social sector’s largest mobile gaming network in terms of player numbers, with daily actives rising 83% from 12m to 22m quarter-on-quarter. The launch of Zynga Slots follows the beta launch of Zynga Bingo in January this year, and the release of the company’s first proprietary gaming platform outside Facebook or Google+ in March.
