NeoGames awarded Danish licence
Online scratchcard company already has deals in place with marketing and media companies in the country.

Online scratchcard business NeoGames is poised to enter the Danish market after being awarded an operator’s licence in the jurisdiction.
The company, which signed a licensing deal with CryptoLogic in February this year, claims to have already signed deals with media and marketing companies with a view to launching a Danish-facing website.
The Danish Gambling Authority awarded 38 licences ahead of the country’s egaming market opening on 1 January, with Nordic operators Betsson, Unibet and Danske Licens Spil among the recipients.
NeoGames MD Shay Bar-Joseph said the company was “thrilled” to enter Denmark, adding: “As we have learned in other regulated markets, such as Italy and Belgium, there is a true market need for an offering that does not necessarily focus on hardcore Casino, but rather combines a softer and more mass market approach.”
As well as CryptoLogic, NeoGames’ other partners include fellow Danish licensee Sportingbet, with the London-listed bookmaker taking on a portfolio of more than 40 scratchcard and instant win games from the company last September.
