Poll results: Readers divided on Black Friday fallout
Indecision over whether the online poker industry is now in a better or a worse place.

eGaming Review’s readers are split down the middle when it comes to determining whether the online poker world is in a better or worse place one year after Black Friday.
Exactly half feel things are better than they were last April, with the other 50% convinced the industry is in worse shape than it was before indictments were unsealed against the principals of the three largest US-facing poker operators.
Those in the former camp will likely have been swayed by regulatory developments across Europe, particularly in Italy where the regulated cash poker environment has started relatively strongly.
Recent innovations such as fast-paced poker equivalent also support those believing the industry is in better shape, while progress towards US regulation, albeit potentially just at a state-by-state level, also comes onto the agenda.
However it remains the case that players have yet to receive funds from Full Tilt Poker, and the US online poker market in its current guise is largely in limbo as we wait to see what comes of regulatory proposals.
