Unibet.fr to relaunch tomorrow
iSite to relaunch with 'look and feel' of Unibet's dot.com site " French mobile offering will also go live.

Unibet’s dot.fr site will relaunch in beta tomorrow in order to retain as many reactivated customers as possible after “better than expected” returns from its rebrand of the former EurosportBET site, writes Robin Harrison from Paris.
Julien Brun, general manager of Unibet France, told eGaming Review that following a rebrand in January, the company now faces the challenge of ensuring it is able to retain customers who were reactivated from its player database when it left the market following regulation in July 2010.
Brun told eGR: “Having the former EurosportBET team working in France allows us to move quickly like a start-up so we have been able to launch the new site live in a short period of time.”
The relaunch will also see the introduction of a mobile offering on Mobenga’s platform, though the dot.fr site will remain on the EurosportBET platform with Brun revealing that no plans have been made to port the site onto the operator’s software “for the time being.”
Unibet, run by CEO Henrik Tjarnstrom (pictured), acquired EurosportBET owner Solfive for an initial consideration of £4.8m in November last year. Following the purchase the operator handed back its French licences in November last year, and was given approval to operate Unibet.fr on the SPS Betting licences in December, officially re-entering the French market on 2 January.
Unibet will next expand into Belgium, confirming its application for an operator licence in January, and also in Australia where it acquired Northern Territory-licensed bookmaker Betchoice for a total £13.6m earlier this month. It has also applied for a Spanish licence.
