Bodog pulls out of Spain
Players told to withdraw funds by end of March.

21/03/2012
Bodog Europe is to withdraw from the Spanish market, after the company decided not to apply for a Spanish licence.
Player accounts will be closed by the end of the month, with players advised to withdraw all funds ahead of the deadline, PokerFuse reports.
The withdrawal follows Morris Mohawk’s US-facing Bovada.lv “ rebranded from Bodog.eu in December last year “ poker site’s banning from the State of Maryland.
The move came after federal prosecutors in the State indicted Bodog founder Calvin Ayre at the end of Feburary.
More than 50 operators are understood to have applied for Spanish licences, including PokerStars, bet365 and prospective Full Tilt Poker owner Groupe Bernard Tapie.
