GameAccount Network and Snai extend partnership
GameAccount to continue developing Italian operator's online portfolio, including online casino and mobile gaming
GameAccount Network and Snai have announced the multi-year extension of their long-standing commercial partnership, as the Italian operator seeks to extend its online offering into casino and mobile applications.
Established in 2008, the arrangement has seen GameAccount Network developing online versions of Snai’s skill games.
Snai is the leader of Italy’s sports betting retail operators with over five thousands shops and retail points across the country, and has been gradually building its egaming offering since the Italian online gambling market became regulated in 2007.
Dermot Smurfit, GameAccount Network managing director (pictured), said the collaboration has enabled both organisations to prosper in the Italian market. “In 2012 and beyond, new categories of gaming product afford equally exciting opportunities including casino table games, tumbling reels games and mobile casino gaming applications. Our continued commitment to building a high quality gaming content portfolio will continue to help Snai build their internet gaming business and prepare Snai for opportunities created by regulation, as they arise.”
Stefano Bortoli, Chief Executive Officer for SNAI, said: “This agreement will allow SNAI to expand its portfolio and meet the needs of our most demanding customers, with new skill games and other novelties that, according to our philosophy, always gives our players a feeling of satisfaction.”
Last month, Snai announced it was to appeal a penalty of 210m handed down by the Italian government’s audit department (Corte dei Conti) as part of a series of fines imposed on gaming machine operators for alleged contract violation from 2006 to 2008, which has scuppered its proposed takeover of Cogetech.
