Ex-EveryMatrix commercial director launches social start-up
Rasmus Sojmark's Oddslife site allows players to "create their own sportsbook".

EveryMatrix commercial director Rasmus Sojmark has left the solutions provider to launch social gaming start-up Oddslife.
The new site, which soft launched at the start of this month following a period of beta testing, is a free-to-play social sports betting platform using virtual credits, which allows players to win and buy funded accounts in the shop from a selection of partner bookmakers as well as a variety of other prizes.
Included among the game’s features are blogs, a betting school, public and private competitions, and the opportunity for players to set their own betting challenges for groups of friends or for the general public.
“While social betting games normally take the form of prediction games, we allow players to create their own mini sportsbook,” explained founder and CEO Sojmark (pictured).
“Besides a traditional sport betting competition, we’re also creating separate communities for each player, where everything is totally customised to each challenge in whatever way you want it to work,” he added.
“They can select how many matches and which matches and betting types are involved, as well as setting time span and determining number of players taking part, while they can also set the number of virtual credits that can be used as a buy-in.”
Oddslife has the backing of a number of investors, including affiliate sites Betting Expert, while it has signed Mybet as its first white label social betting partner and is in talks with a number of other leading operators on both an affiliate and white label partner level.
Sojmark revealed that he has a portfolio of 15 operators on board in the early stages as sponsors, while he remains in talks with media companies over white-labelling the site.
“We’re working with a mix of UK and European operators and will look towards signing up media companies once we’ve launched, but we have a very flexible solution that can be skinned and white-labelled.” Sojmark explained.
The start-up will launch its first skin, Oddslife.dk, at the end of March while its white-label partnership with Mybet will bring about a new site next month.
