Poll: Two-thirds say they are ready for Spain
Majority (65%) of readers say they are ready for the opening of the market in just seven weeks time.

Barring any last minute hitches the Spanish regulator will begin to announce which applicants have and have not been successful on 31 March, opening up another European country to a regulated egaming market.
After just 10 months of legislative progress, both local and internation operators are eagerly awaiting the news, however the original delay until June 30 has since been cut short giving applicants even less time to prepare for the switch.
A large number of readers responded to the eGR poll this week with the overwhelming majority (65%) stating they are ready for the opening of the market in just seven weeks time, while more than a third (35%) said they are unprepared.
A number of operators, mainly dot.com players that have taken Spanish players for some time, appear to be the most prepared, with a selection, such as Ladbrokes, seemingly having already been given word they will be successful at the end of next month. Of course it helps to have an existing land-based operation or local partnership, however it remains to be seen how well local operators, including casinos and media brands, are able to adjust to life under a regulated online gaming regime.
