Everleaf pulls out of US
Poker network acts after receiving 'cease and desist' notice from Department of Homeland Security.

The Everleaf Poker network will no longer accept players from the United States after receiving a cease and desist letter from the US Department of Homeland Security.
A representative for network skin MintedPoker confirmed the news on the Two Plus Two poker forums, explaining that “Several weeks ago when the network lost one of the US processors, some of the processed funds were held back by what is now clear as the Department of Homeland Security.
“The network owners have today sought legal advice and also met with the LGA, the Maltese Licensing Authority, who have advised them that due to the nature of the threat and the current climate, the network needs to withdraw its services from US customers,” added the representative, known only as ‘MintedNeil’.
Other sites on the network include CobraBet.com, JimmyPoker and Rock’Em Poker. According to Pokerscout it was the fifth-largest US-facing network before exiting the market, and the 27th-largest network overall.
As a consequence of the withdrawal, player accounts will be converted to the Euro currency, with MintedNeil reassuring players that “All European funds are safe and the European network will continue.”
A number of other poker rooms and networks have pulled out of the US since Black Friday, with former Cake Network skin Victory Poker doing so within a week of the indictment of Full Tilt Poker and PokerStars principals, and Enet and Betraiser following suit soon after.
