IGT in Hasbro licensing deal
American company to launch casino games based on brands including Monopoly and Battleships.

American provider International Game Technology (IGT) has renewed its licensing deal with Hasbro until the end of 2014, allowing it to continue developing slots based on brands from the toy and board game company.
Among the brands set to be used on IGT’s casino games portfolio are Monopoly, Battleship, Transformers and Dungeons & Dragons.
The announcement comes just one week after IGT agreed a deal to acquire social media company Double Down Interactive for $500m.
IGT executive vice president Gideon Bierer said:” IGT is well known for offering high quality online and mobile games, and some of the more popular games that we have produced are based on Hasbro brands.”
A number of games based on Hasbro brands, such as Monopoly Multiplier and Battleship: Search & Destroy, already feature in IGT’s portfolio, and it will add to this when Monopoly Plus launches in the spring.
eGaming Review revealed this morning that IGT client services director Michael Probert has left the company to join Bally Interactive.
