PMU online turnover passes 1bn
Online turnover of 1.3bn is a 45% year-on-year increase and contributes to total turnover of more than 10bn.

Pari Mutuel Urbain (PMU) has seen its annual turnover from online activities cross the 1bn threshold after a 45% year-on-year increase, the French operator has revealed in its full year results for 2011.
The 1.3bn total helped contribute to a total group turnover of more than 10bn, while online gross gaming revenue for the period rose 30% to 233m.
Last August PMU signed a sports betting deal with Ladbrokes for the Belgian market, following on from major partnerships with PartyGaming and Paddy Power in recent years.
The company’s dot.fr site currently boasts 500,000 active customers, while the operator has spoken highly of the cross-sell between online, retail and mobile.
PMU jumped five places to eighth in this year’s eGR Power 50.
