Betfair replaces Betfred as Man Utd betting sponsor

BETFAIR has signed a deal to replace Betfred as Manchester United football club’s ‘official betting partner’.

Betfair will use the Man Utd logo in marketing activity, and will have perimeter board signage at the team’s Old Trafford stadium.

The deal is Betfair’s first football club tie since its one-year shirt deal with Fulham FC in 2003, since when it has concentrated on promotions on cricket and horse racing. Betfair is the official betting partner of the England & Wales Cricket Board.

Also striking an official betting partner football club deal this week was Asian operator 188Bet, which signed a deal with Chelsea FC yesterday, as reported on EGRmagazine.com.
