Canadian company will raise the money through the sale of 3.3m shares at $3.10 each; Microgaming launches its Bingo Plus software.

In order to fund its acquisition of Chartwell, Amaya is set to raise CA$10.23m (£6.42m) through the sale of 3.3m shares at CA$3.10 each. An agreement to sell the shares has been reached with a syndicate of underwriters, who have also been granted an over-allotment option which may be exercised up to 30 days after the closing of the offering, which is expected in mid-June.
Microgaming has launched its new ‘Bingo Plus’ software, which will give operators “greater control over bingo rooms” on the network, the Isle of Man firm has said. The software provides for multiple languages and currencies, as well as introducing consolation prizes to increase the number of players who get paid. Bingo Plus is the first initiative to be launched since head of network games Lydia Melton took control of Microgaming’s bingo platform.
John Delaney, founder of Dublin-based online prediction and wagering business Intrade, has died at the age of 42, just 50 metres from summiting Mount Everest. Intrade is an online exchange that allows customers to buy and sell contracts, betting on the outcome of future world political, entertainment and financial events. It has around 100,000 registered users.
International Game Technology (IGT) has signed a deal allowing software and service provider NeoGames to sub-licence a number of IGT games to its customers, including the Monopoly online scratchcard. According to the reigning eGaming Review Slot Provider of the Year, this agreement is the first of its kind for IGT’s interactive division.
Gaming software company EveryMatrix, will provide its OddsMatrix sportsbook, GamMatrix gaming management platform and RakeMatrix bingo network to Olympian Trading via a deal brokered by International Arts Management (IAM Corp) that operates GR88.com and Bulldog777. The GamMatrix platform will enable the integration of third party casino products from Microgaming and CTXM as well as poker from Merge. All three brands will also offer mobile sports betting via the new OddsMatrix Mobile Sportsbook. Launch is set for late July.
Leigh Nissim, former commercial director for GTECH G2, has joined retail sports betting and lottery software provider Swiftstake Technologies as its new UK managing director. Nissim, former MD of St Minver, left GTECH G2 in November 2010 after two and half years at the business.
