Centrebet backs up ‘winners welcome’ pledge with $1,000 racing guarantee
William Hill-owned brand to unveil offer in Queensland from 20 January

William Hill’s newly relaunched Centrebet brand has announced it will lay bets to win at least AU$1,000 (£600) on Queensland bush racing, despite the state itself rejecting minimum bet limits earlier this week.
As well as the $1,000 offer on bush racing, Centrebet said it will lay at least $5,000 on metro racing on Saturdays, and $2,500 on weekday metro racing.
The announcement comes after the Queensland Racing Minister ruled out the introduction of state-wide minimum bet guarantees – as seen in Victoria and New South Wales – on Tuesday.
The Centrebet guarantee kicks-off on 20 January, and the firm said “punters that have been banned or restricted with other operators are encouraged to take up the offering”.
“This is just another reminder that Centrebet is the new home for punters that wants to get set on horse racing in Australia” a company spokesperson added.
The brand was relaunched by William Hill at the start of January as a bookie for the more “serious” horseracing punter.
As part of the recent relaunch, Centrebet also extended its offering to sports with the launch of the Powerbet tab on its website, with the bookie pledging lay up to $10,000 on mainstream sports like NFL and Grand Slam tennis, with margins as low as 1.5%.
