Paddys launches ‘crowd-powered’ acca
Firm will boost Arsenal, Leicester and Tottenham treble out to 8/1 if enough punters back it on the final day of Premier League season

Paddy Power has launched a new offer for the final day of the Premier League season in the form of a one-off ‘crowd-powered’ treble.
The firm is offering Arsenal, Leicester and Tottenham to win at 7/2, and rising to as high as 8/1 depending how many people back it.
After 1,000 customers bet it, the price rises to 4/1, while 100,000 bets will be needed to reach the 8/1 max price.
All customers will be paid out at the final price regardless of when they bet, with a max stake of £20 per customer, meaning the firms could face liabilities in excess of £16m on the offer.
“It’s the climax of the Premier League season this weekend and Paddy’s determined to go out with a bang,” the firm said in an introductory blog post.
“In true Donald Trump style, he’s ignored the best advice – and just plain common sense – and turned bookmaking theory on its head with his latest brain fart.
“The big man’s taken control from the bean counters and given it to you, the customers. And somewhere in HR, a finger hovers over his P45…”
The offer is similar to the crowd-boosted acca Sky Bet occasionally offers, which has been described as a good way to make betting more social, albeit in a way that only the biggest bookmakers can afford.
Its also reminiscent of a 2014 Paddy Power campaign that let punters share their bets with friends and get better prices as more and more people got on.
A Paddys spokesperson told EGR the offer was a way to “spice up an otherwise quiet last day of the season for the fans,” with no immediate plans to roll it out more frequently.
