Kindred commissions responsible gambling research project
Operator to review strength of player protection practices through analysis of anonymous customer data

Kindred has commissioned a three-year research project on the operator’s responsible gambling practices using anonymised customer data.
The project will also offer an insight into player profiles and their journey with the operator through the analysis of tools including personalised feedback, limit setting and pop-up messaging.
“Kindred is committed to player protection and harm minimisation for our customers and this new research project will help provide insight into how our customers can gamble more responsibly,” Kindred integrity analytics manager Maris Bonello commented.
Responsible gambling researcher Professor Mark Griffiths said the findings would help Kindred share best practice with other operators.
Kindred will be assisted by Dr Michael Auer of big data firm Neccton.
“Our previous research has shown that companies who employ responsible gambling tools can help their clientele play on their products in a more controlled way,” Dr Auer said.
The Stockholm-listed firm recently invested in the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to strengthen anti-money laundering decision processes.
