Betfred extends Playtech SSBT deal
Operator also rolls out BetTracker app to boost omni-channel offering

Playtech’s BGT Sports (PBS) division has extended its deal with Betfred to deploy an additional 570 SSBTs across the firm’s retail estate.
Coinciding with the start of the football season in August, all Betfred terminals will also offer PBS’ omni-channel BetTracker product, which lets punters transfer machine bets to their mobile phones.
“We’ve witnessed a growing trend towards the use of self-service terminals, so to expand them to our entire retail estate was the logical next step for us,” Mark Stebbings, managing director of Betfred Retail, said.
“The addition of BetTracker will prove to be an important tool for us in the crossover of retail and online customers,” he added.
Playtech BGT Sports managing director for UK, Ireland, Asia, and Australia, John Pettit, said the implementation of BetTracker marked another step in the supplier’s mission to digitise retail betting.
“The agreement underlines the strategic importance of our product to those operators wishing to grow incremental revenues,” he added.
