Jez San launches blockchain casino platform FunFair
The founder of the now defunct PKR, Jez San, has launched a blockchain-built casino platform that he pledged is “the future of gaming”.
FunFair is built on the Ethereum blockchain using smart contracts that will enable operators to integrate the casino platform via a simple webpage link.
Speaking to EGR Intel, San said the platform’s steadily growing suite of games offers unparalleled fairness and player protection.
“What we’ve done is different, the player never makes a deposit, but instead plays from their own wallet. This system allows players to bet without risking their funds if a site goes under,” he added.

Betsafe customers will be able to bet on more than 250,000 races from around the world every year, with Best Odds Guaranteed on races in certain countries.
Betsson president Ulrik Bengtsson said the launch proved Betsafe was “levelling up its sportsbook significantly”.

The Europe-facing casino’s new Malta hub adds to the company’s current headquarters in Bucharest and will be focused exclusively on growth in the Nordic online gaming sector.

Betfred extends Playtech SSBT deal
Playtech’s BGT Sports (PBS) division has extended its deal with Betfred to deploy an additional 570 SSBTs across the firm’s retail estate.
Coinciding with the start of the football season in August, all Betfred terminals will also offer PBS’ omni-channel BetTracker product, which lets punters transfer machine bets to their mobile phones.
“We’ve witnessed a growing trend towards the use of self-service terminals, so to expand them to our entire retail estate was the logical next step for us,” Mark Stebbings, managing director of Betfred Retail, said.
