Sportsbook brand to launch a ‘Hollywood-style’ interactive campaign around Premier League and Champions League football

Bwin’s ad audience must back a winner in car chase campaign
Bwin has launched its first major marketing campaign since being bought by GVC in February 2016.
The multi-million euro campaign, called The Race, is set to kick off with a Hollywood-style car chase on 12 August to coincide with the opening weekend of the Premier League season.
The 90-second clip will run across TV, cinema screens, digital, social media and CRM and invite the audience to back a winning car, Black or Yellow, before the winner is revealed in a 120-second ad during UEFA Champions League coverage in September.
New social betting app vows to be the “WhatsApp of betting”
New social messaging app Bet Blocks is aiming to be the “WhatsApp of betting” by encouraging punters to place bets online with friends using voice recognition and AI technologies.
Using natural parsing language, the app detects specific betting related words in group chats and links them to relevant odds offered by Oddschecker.
William Hill is the first major sportsbook to partner with Bet Blocks and they hope others will follow suit.
Founders Nilesh Mistry and Jonny Robb told EGR Intel: “Imagine everything you can do in WhatsApp like create groups and chat with friends but with an added level of betting.
Coral bolsters omni-channel offering with Coral Connect app
Coral has launched a mobile companion app for its omni-channel Coral Connect card, which is now available on the Apple and Google Play app stores.
The single wallet Coral Connect card launched in 2014 and has been cited by the operator as a major driver of its digital and retail growth through linking shop activity with an online Coral account.
And the new app enables punters to scan their receipt barcode to monitor and track bets made over the counter via their mobile devices and cash-out will be available for the most popular coupons.
Coral said the app provides up to the minute information pre and post bet and will also stream live events including football, horse racing and tennis.
Unibet to launch betting-focused commentary service
Unibet has integrated a new commentary system that will allow the operator to add its own betting-related commentary service to live-streamed sporting events.
The technology, developed by Perform Group, lets Kindred’s commentary teams provide analysis from the comfort of their own home via a laptop and the software rather than flying around the world to events.
The system also provides a constant stream of betting stats and angles from Opta to help commentators facilitate in-play bets.
The Kindred sportsbook will add the broadcast service to its Watch and Bet content on La Liga, Ligue 1 and the Belgian Jupiler Pro League.
Rank opens doors to first Luda bingo retail venue
Rank has launched its first Luda-brand club in Walsall, offering customers “a unique venue” to play bingo and slots.
Part of the larger Mecca Bingo brand, the venue reflects the firm’s pledge to “refresh the bingo experience”, and reportedly blends the “hospitality of a coffee shop with the gaming experience”.
The Walsall club is the first of three high street-based venues to be rolled out this year, with Rank also planning to extend the brand online in March 2018.
Alan Morgan, managing director of Luda, said it “brought a new experience and energy to the high street, capturing the imagination in terms of setting, gaming and the technology on offer.
