PokerStars Play launched in US and Australia ahead of global rollout later this year
PokerStars has launched a new social poker app as part of its pledge to become a “leader in social casino”.
The new PokerStars Play app was launched in the United States and Australia on iOS and Android and will begin phased rollout to all territories over the course of the year.
The app contains poker and casino games including Texas Hold’em, Spin and Go, Omaha and slots titles.
“PokerStars Play is a unique product, taking the best of real-money gaming and merging it with the features players expect from mobile games,” said Lloyd Melnick, director of social gaming at PokerStars.

Ladbrokes boosts social media presence with online football channel sponsorship
Ladbrokes has launched a partnership with online football channel Ball Street Network for the 2017-18 season to ramp up its social media presence.
The sponsorship will extend to the network’s Arsenal Fan TV and Redmen TV Youtube channels.
The Ladbrokes #FanFriday show will bring together fan-media personalities to preview the weekend’s big games.
Arsenal Fan TV has experienced exponential growth in recent seasons with views in excess of 20m per month on the Ball Street Network channel.
GalaBingo.com launches app on Google Play Store
GalaBingo.com has become the latest online gaming operator to launch its app on the newly open to gambling Google Play Store.
The app has been made available as a free download on all Android devices following Google’s announcement that it has started to accept gambling apps on its Play Store from August 1 2017.
Brand director Angus Nisbet said: “We were really excited when we heard that Google would start accepting gambling apps in its store.

Colossus Bets partners with British horseracing for pool betting offer
Colossus Bets has been chosen to provide the technology for the pool betting service set to be launched next summer by 54 British race tracks.
Betfred’s exclusive licence to offer pool betting on British racing expires next summer and the tracks are planning to launch their own version of the tote.
A spokesperson for the 54 courses backing the new project said signing Colossus Bets as the technology partner would give punters access to new exotic bets, cash-out and seven-figure guaranteed prize pools.
