Sky Betting & Gaming hires former Hills director for strategy role
David Hopkins is responsible for the alignment of key strategic programmes across the SB&G business

Sky Betting & Gaming has hired William Hill’s David Hopkins as its head of programmes.
Hopkins has been in the position since mid-October and is responsible for the alignment of strategic programmes across the business.
He previously worked in a number of roles at William Hill, including programme manager and most recently director of gaming product development.
Hopkins said the unique set-up of SB&G presented some challenges and opportunities for his new role.
“Where Sky Betting and Gaming differs from most other companies is in the way in which the development teams are organised into autonomous tribes operating within a mature agile framework,” Hopkins said.
“This is great for the teams as it ensures they always have clear set of goals and objectives and ensures they are as healthy and productive as possible.
“It does however pose some interesting challenges in planning work across the tribes,” he added.
Earlier this month the operator revealed a robust set of full-year financial results, with 2016-17 revenues and EBITDA up a lofty 38% year-on-year to £516m and £146m respectively.
