Betsson appoints permanent operations CEO
Interim chief exec Jesper Svensson has been in the position since September 2017 following Ulrik Bengtsson’s departure

Betsson has appointed Jesper Svensson as the permanent CEO of its Malta-based operational subsidiary.
Svensson has been in the position since September of this year, following the departure of Ulrik Bengtsson from the firm.
Prior to joining the operator in 2013, Svensson has also held positions at Ladbrokes and Bodog Nation.
Group CEO Pontus Lindwall said: “Jesper has extensive experience from the gaming industry and the passion and skills needed to lead Betsson’s gaming operations.
“The team and I have many opportunities and also challenges ahead. We have already made improvements to our ways of working in order to better leverage on the multi-brand model and the single platform,” Svensson added.
Betsson reported a challenging quarter in Q3 with underlying organic growth of just 2% thanks to a flat performance in the Nordics and some integration problems from the acquisition of NetPlay TV.
