
Coral targets ‘acca backers’ with new bet filters
New function to be launched on Coral Connect this week after promising performance in Ladbrokes’ The Grid


Coral has launched a new bet filter function for its retail companion app that aims to help punters build their football accumulators.
The so-called Football Bet Filter will be added to Coral Connect this week, and will let punters search for acca legs through a variety of filters, including: teams playing at home, high-scoring teams, mean defences or teams playing in specific divisions.
The search technology was built in-house, and based on the recently launched Racing Bet Filter.
A similar product was also recently launched via The Grid in Ladbrokes and is called Football Buddy.
“We are delighted to release a digital product to simplify our shop customers’ betting experience,” said Darren Calvia, head of omni-channel product for Ladbrokes Coral.
“This is a simple yet game-changing way for customers to build their accumulators based on personal preferences and filters.”
The launch is the latest step in LCL’s push towards ‘Omni-channel 2.0’, which recently saw Ladbrokes launch an omni-channel wallet across its retail estate of more than 3,500 betting shops.
LCL has pledged to continue to lead the space, with approximately 53% of Coral.co.uk net revenue and 36% of Ladbrokes.com revenue coming from multi-channel customers.
