Superbet builds senior gaming team with Hills and PPB hires
Chief gaming officer James Curwen makes four appointments to the operator’s new online gaming team

Superbet has completed a raft of hires from William Hill, Paddy Power Betfair and Ladbrokes Coral as the operator looks to build its senior online gaming team, EGR Intel has learned.
Chief gaming officer James Curwen has made four additions to the company’s newly created gaming division in recent weeks, including Paddy Power Betfair’s Michael Reilly as head of gaming operations.
Reilly, who was previously casino marketing manager at Paddy Power Betfair, is joined at Superbet’s Gibraltar hub by Ladbrokes Coral’s Ric Leask, who has taken up the role of head of gaming marketing.
The rest of the senior gaming team is made up of former William Hill employees Heather Faulkner and James Mckay who have been named business casino owner and head of cross-channel respectively.
“I am really excited to be working with such a young, hungry and world class team that we have hired to help grow Superbet into one of the world’s leading gaming brands,” Curwen told EGR Intel.
He added: “This aligns with our strategy to employ exceptional talent at the right stage of their careers.
“I am confident that the best people in the right environment make the most money and that’s what we are building under Sacha and his Superbet brand.”
Last month, EGR Intel revealed Curwen had been named Superbet’s new chief gaming officer, joining a raft of former Hills colleagues such as Jamie Hart and Stuart Weston on the operator’s senior online team.
The former Hills gaming exec had been working for Superbet on a consultancy basis for the last few months and in his new role will oversee all gaming operations within the group.
Prior to joining Superbet, he worked at William Hill for more than six years in a number of senior gaming roles including director of gaming P&L and chief gaming product officer.
Curwen also recently teamed up with former Hills colleague William Mathieson to launch a new Superbet-backed online slots and table games development house, Golden Rock Studios.
