PPB continues senior management reshuffle with new CSO
Aine Flanagan promoted to new executive role while Johnny Hartnett takes up new corporate development role

Paddy Power Betfair has continued the reorganisation of its senior management team this week with the elevation of Aine Flanagan to the newly created role of chief strategy officer.
Flanagan, who was previously managing director of the firm’s UK and Ireland operations, will oversee the group’s corporate strategy.
Flanagan first joined Paddy Power as a business analyst back in 2007, before joining Betfair in 2013 where she worked until the merger.
The appointment comes in the same week as two other changes in the PPB executive team, with Dan Taylor promoted to the newly-created role of chief executive officer for Europe, while Barni Evans was named CEO of PPB’s Australian subsidiary Sportsbet.
The announcements all come in new CEO Peter Jackson’s first week in charge, after he officially took over from the departing Breon Corcoran on Monday.
Under the restructured reporting system in the European business, Taylor will now have separate MDs reporting to him responsible for the Betfair and Paddy Power brands.
Kevin Harrington will be the Betfair MD, while the Paddy Power role has yet to be filled.
Each MD will now be accountable for the P&Ls of each individual brand, while utilising central functions like marketing, customer services and trading.
Johnny Hartnett, who was managing director for international, will now become the group’s head of global corporate development.
