Playtech hires Angus Nisbet as new bingo MD
Former Gala Bingo brand director will officially join the supplier in March having relocated from Gibraltar

Playtech has hired Angus Nisbet as the new managing director for its worldwide bingo business, EGR Intel has learned.
Nisbet will start his new role on 5 March having spent five years at Coral where he most recently held the role of brand director of Gala Bingo.
It’s Nisbet’s first B2B position having previously worked across the bingo sector at several B2C operators, including Rank Group’s Mecca Bingo as brand director.
On the switch, Nisbet said: “The timing was right because I have spent five years in Gibraltar with Coral and it was time to move my family back to the UK.
“Having worked in egaming for such a long time, it is a badge of honour to work for Playtech.”
Speaking to EGR exclusively at ICE, Nisbet added: “Bingo gets a smaller share at this kind of trade show, but if you were to speak to Ladbrokes Coral about their Gala business or GVC about Foxy, it really is a key part of their product portfolio.”
Last week, Playtech was one of three UK operators, along with Ladbrokes Coral and William Hill to sign up to new guidelines on industry practices relating to customer bonuses.
Despite Playtech’s early adoption of the guidelines, Nisbet believes his work is far from done, and time spent in his new role will be devoted to ensuring regulatory compliance across the board.
“[Our work] isn’t done as I think the sector is constantly changing,” he said.
“When you came to ICE in the past, it was just gaming brands, but now you walk around and regulatory bodies have their own stands, like the RGA. And rightly so- I support that.
“I fully expect more interaction with regulators and our compliance team has a voice at the table with these guys.”
