PMU unveils new management team
Bertrand Méheut appointed chairman of PMU by the operator’s parent companies as Cyril Linette fills CEO position

French betting operator Pari-Mutuel Urbain (PMU) has appointed Bertrand Méheut as its new chairman and Cyril Linette as its new CEO following a management reshuffle.
The pair, who previously linked up at French TV broadcaster Canal Plus, were nominated by PMU’s parent companies, racetrack operator France Galop and horse racing governing body Le Trot.
Changes to the executive board were made with PMU’s parent companies seeking to “better differentiate” the functions of chairman and CEO.
PMU said the combined goal of its new leadership team would be to accelerate brand revival through the conquest of new customers, as well as product and service innovation.
France Galop president Edouard de Rothschild said: “I am delighted to welcome to PMU management two talents such as Bertrand Méheut and Cyril Linette.
“Bertrand has managed to lead large companies in a wide variety of industrial sectors and I am sure he will use all his experience at the service of the PMU and the Institution of Racing.
“Cyril, who will have the operational reins of the company, has demonstrated his ability to innovate, to invent and to bring about disruption in sectors that are undergoing profound changes,” he added.
