
Betsson launches debut Spanish TV ad campaign
Stockholm-listed operator describes itself as “Swedish, but exciting” in first Spain-focused TV advert


Betsson Group has launched its first Spanish TV advertising campaign since entering the country’s gambling market in March 2017.
The Stockholm-listed operator unveiled its new ad short entitled ‘Suecos, pero emocionantes’, or ‘Swedish, but exciting’ for its flagship Spanish brand Betsson.es on Friday.
The advert features a naked man swimming in a freezing Swedish lake as a voiceover says: “Bad things happen when you’re bored, that’s why we Swedes have created the world’s most exciting online betting and casino websites.”
Betsson Group’s managing director for Southern Europe and LatAm Andrea Rossi said the ad was “intentionally unconventional” to stand out from other gambling operators in Spain.
“We hope our Spanish audience likes this campaign as much as we do,” said Rossi. “Betsson is our flagship brand and we are all about customer entertainment.
“We want Betsson.es to be the biggest entertainer in the Spanish market as we launched the brand earlier this year and we are now introducing it to the wider Spanish audience as a Swedish market leader and a trustworthy online gambling operator and entertainment expert.”
Betsson launched in the Spanish market after acquiring locally-licensed online gaming operator Premier Casino last year and recently pledged to focus on Spain and Italy after suffering major losses in the UK.
