ComeOn hires Mr Green CMO as new managing director
Lahcene Merzoug to take over top job by July, relieving acting-MD Tomas Johansson

Cherry’s online gaming arm, ComeOn, has named a new managing director in the form of Lahcene Merzoug, the current CMO of Mr Green.
Merzoug will take up his new role by mid-July, succeeding Tomas Johansson, who has been acting-MD since October 2017 when Jonas Wahlander departed.
“ComeOn is a leading player with a number of well-known brands that inspire our industry, and I am honoured to take over as MD after Tomas Johansson,” said Merzoug.
“I look forward to continuing to develop the operations to give the company a clear market-leading position and to strengthen our position as the first choice for customers and employees.”
Merzoug was previously CMO and chief business development officer at Evoke Gaming, until the firm was bought by Mr Green.

Tomas Johansson will remain as an adviser at Cherry and will assist Merzoug and the ComeOn management team during the transition.
“I’m pleased with what we have achieved within ComeOn in a short period of time, and it’s very gratifying to see ComeOn return as a nimble player, focused on growth with good profitability,” Johansson said.
“Since October, we have worked hard within ComeOn to identify and remedy a number of different areas, allowing us to regain our position as a leading player in the industry.
“The joint effort allowed ComeOn to report good growth and improved earnings already in the first quarter.”
ComeOn chairman Anders Holmgren hailed the quick turnaround achieved by Johansson, adding: “Lahcene Merzoug is the right person to take the company forward.”
“His experience of building growth in organizations and his well-documented marketing skills will give us a smooth transition and take ComeOn several steps forward.”
