Paddy Power unveils £1m Beat The Drop football quiz game
Operator offers punters the chance to win £1m by answering 20 prediction questions in a Million Pound Drop-style format
Paddy Power customers will have a shot at winning £1m thanks to the operator’s new football quiz game, Beat The Drop.
The product mimics Channel 4’s TV quiz show The Million Pound Drop by giving players £1m, before asking them to split the stake between answers to a series of questions.
Players will have to answer 20 football questions, such as ‘Will England be beating Costa Rica at half time?’ and will get to keep the amount they are left with at the end of the game, with Paddy Power offering the first attempt for free.
Several operators have taken the free-to-play game route to push their product ahead of the World Cup, after BetStars kicked off proceedings with its £100m- prize, 64-match results predictor in May.
Pinnacle is asking punters to answer 10 questions correctly for a shot at £20,000, while BetVictor revealed its own £1m World Cup promo, The Million Pound Bet, earlier this week.
According to the latest Oddschecker Insights, Paddy Power experienced a challenging football season thanks to an inferior product offering as a result of its platform migration during the middle part of the year..
The operator is expected to regain market share during Russia 2018 however as a result of increased focus on product speed and innovation.
