Winamax launches in Spain
Operator opens its poker tables to Spanish players

French poker operator Winamax has announced its poker games will now be accessible to Spanish players, taking advantage of the shared poker liquidity program between the two European countries.
The firm said yesterday that Spanish players can now access Winamax’s multi-table tournaments, cash games and Sit&Go poker tables. A separate .es offshoot of the Winamax website has been launched specifically for Spanish players.
As part of the rollout in Spain, Winamax will reduce its rake for cash game players from 6.5% to 5.75%.
Players depositing with the website for the first time will receive a gift voucher up to the value of €500, with a special mission poker tournament available for the first 50 days of operation, under which players can win a trip to Las Vegas.
Winamax also said it will reduce its miles accumulation program for VIP players from 4 miles per euro raked to 3 from 1st of August. Miles accumulated can be redeemed for prizes, tickets and cash.
The move brings Winamax in line with PokerStars and partypoker, who both already offer shared liquidity games in the two countries.
Measures to begin a liquidity compact between France, Spain, Portugal and Italy began in June 2017, with Italy the only market yet to join the pool.
