Bet365 dominates Italian online betting market in July
Italian online betting revenues rise 34% annually as bet365 beats off competition from SKS365 and Snaitech

Bet365 dominated the Italian market once again in July, as overall online betting revenues increased by 34% year-on-year to €51.5m.
Bet365 led the way in both turnover (€157m) and revenue (€10.4m) last month, ahead of its closest challenger SKS365.
The operator enjoyed market share of 20.2% during the World Cup finals month, ahead of closest competitor SKS365 on 12%.
Austria-based SKS365 reported turnover of €41m and revenues of €6m, while Snaitech, the Italian retail giant recently acquired by Playtech, hit turnover of €38m and revenues of €5.4m.
Sisal was the biggest climber in online betting market share last month, leaping into fourth place on €31m in turnover and €£4m in revenue while Eurobet rounded off the top five in the list.
Operators with a significant retail presence are expected to gain online market share in the months ahead after Italy’s coalition government introduced a blanket ban on advertising.
Retail shops are still allowed to advertise betting products and promotions, meaning customers could wager more with the likes of Snaitech, Sisal and Lottomatica.
