BetVictor director departs for Matchbook CMO role
EGR understands Shane Stafford will join Cork-headquartered operator in December this year

Matchbook has hired BetVictor director of brand Shane Stafford as its new CMO, EGR Intel has learned.
Stafford will join the exchange operator in December this year, after almost three years with BetVictor.
Before that he spent almost ten years in the marketing department at Paddy Power.
Matchbook has been operating without a CMO since June when incumbent Neil Campbell left to seek new opportunities.
“We’re very excited about Shane coming in,” said Matchbook CEO Mark Brosnan.
“He has a lot of experience at taking businesses that are product-focused and building awareness and I think he’s going to play a very big role in spreading the positive word about Matchbook.
Stafford added: “My time at BetVictor has been very rewarding. With a truly amazing team we created a brand that cut through the noise in a very competitive marketplace. Now I’m ready for a new challenge.
BetVictor last year won the EGR Sportsbook Marketing Campaign award for its ‘The Million Pound Goal’ campaign.
Stafford added: “I’m really excited to begin the next chapter of my career at Matchbook.
“I’m eager to get started with Mark and the wider team in building a strategy for growth and creating a brand purpose that will differentiate Matchbook and complement its already strong product offering and competitiveness.”
