Unikrn gains Isle of Man licence ahead of new platform launch
Esports operator ready to go live with Unikrn Jet back-end that can process more than 9,000 bets per second

Esports betting operator Unikrn has received a licence for both cryptocurrency and real-money online gambling from the Isle of Man.
The Isle of Man licence will allow Unikrn to offer both crypto and real-money betting to esports players across several markets in Europe, South American and South East Asia.
According to CEO Rahul Sood on Medium, Unikrn is ready to go live with a back-end platform that “wildly surpasses anything yet existing in esports, sports betting or online gambling”.
Unikrn is now the world's first live betting company to get a license for crypto betting from the Isle of Man.
Today we launch new products including spectator and player vs house skill betting across 20 countries.

Sood described the backend, Unikrn Jet, as the “world’s first and only blockchain-based live-wagering backend with regulated real-money and crypto betting”.
“Our launch-ready platform is the first blockchain-based wagering backend to process real-time crypto bets,” said Sood.
“We call this wagering backend Unikrn Jet. It’s the first of its kind and can power more than 9000 bets per second with cutting edge blockchain-powered security.
“Jet has been live for a while and surpassed all regulatory requirements with flying colours. Our platform is singular in the world,” he added.
Unikrn Limited is now listed as a licence holder on the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission website, adding to Unikrn’s real-money online gambling license from the Malta Gaming Authority.
The esports operator also had an Australian permit up until December 2017, but it fell through following the closure of Tabcorp’s Luxbet brand.
