SKS365 tops Italian online sports betting rankings in November
Austrian operator beats off competition from bet365 to claim 14.95% of online sports betting revenue
SKS365 claimed top spot in the Italian online sports betting market for November as online betting operators vastly outperformed the country’s retail betting outlets.
SKS365’s PlanetWin365 brand reclaimed the online betting title with 14.95% of total online revenue, narrowly beating UK giant bet365’s share of 14.66%.
Snaitech (11.3%), Eurobet (9.9%) and Sisal (7.3%) completed the top five for revenue of online operators, while E-PLAY 24 (2.18%) and Unibet (0.63%) experienced significant growth.
November figures released by Italian gaming regulator AAMS show online/offline sports betting licensees generated revenue of €148.5m in November, up from €147m in the same period last year.
The November figure also marks a significant increase on last month, where October sports betting revenues reached just €133.7m.
Online sportsbook brands reported a revenue rise of 5% year-on-year to €65.1m, while retail revenue dropped by almost 2% to €83.4m.
For the year-to-date, the overall betting market is up 23.8% to €1.39b, with online up 25.5% to €593.7m and retail also rising 22% to €791.4m.
