GiG applies for Spanish B2C licence
Operator is planning to launch casino and betting products in the market in H2 2019

Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) has applied for a Spanish casino and sports betting licence and is aiming to launch its B2C offering in H2 2019.
As part of the licensing process, the operator will certify its B2B platform offering so that it is able to offer services to operators in Spain.
A company statement said GiG was well positioned for the market opportunity in Spain, covering all verticals in the value chain, and supporting operators’ growth with its technical solutions.
“Gambling is an important part of Spanish culture. The country has one of the highest per capita spending in Europe and has consistently grown during the past 20 years,” the statement said.
GiG has an office in Marbella on the south coast of Spain, out of which it operates mostly technical roles.
The operator also has a small hub in Gibraltar where some of its legal and compliance team is based.
LeoVegas has also applied for a Spanish licence and plans to launch its casino and betting products in the market in Q1 2019.
