Lottoland secures double MGA licence amid Brexit planning
CEO Nigel Birrell says the operator has no plans to move from Gibraltar after receiving double Malta Gaming Authority licence

Lottoland has secured two licences from the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) to offer both its B2B and B2C egaming services.
The operator, which is currently headquartered in Gibraltar, has denied newspaper reports that it is preparing to move staff over to Malta as Brexit uncertainty continues to grow.
However, Lottoland did confirm that its licence applications were part of Brexit contingency planning as many other egaming firms, including bet365, look towards Malta to secure European operations.

Lottoland already has an Irish EU licence, but the operator received confirmation today that the MGA has granted two further EU licences for B2C and B2B operations.
The firm has been based in Gibraltar’s premier Ocean Village marina since 2013, having expanded into three new offices and grown its staff numbers by approximately 300 over the last five years.
CEO Nigel Birrell said: “Gibraltar is our home and we have no plans for this to change.”
