Exclusive: Former River iGaming COO joins Metal Casino as MD
Kim Larsen joins the Malta-based operator after two months away from the industry for health reasons

Former River iGaming COO Kim Larsen has joined Metal Casino’s (MC) senior management team as a managing director (MD) less than two months into his sabbatical, EGR has learned.
Larsen spent a year at Olso-listed River iGaming where he headed up the River Game Operations business arm and built the infrastructure of the new operator.
He also played a crucial role in the acquisition of Gaming Realms’ B2C arm in June.
Speaking to EGR Intel, Larsen said: “What really attracted me to [parent company] VRTCL Gaming and Metal Casino was the pure uniqueness of the brand.
“MC has real content (and visuals), basing the communication on music, which is one of the strongest emotional triggers. We will instead tap in to a different route,” Larsen said.
Larsen left River iGaming in December last year to take some time off to look after his health.
In January, MC reshuffled its senior management team with CMO Clas Dahlen taking on the newly-created role of chief brand and strategy officer.
Larsen said the firm would continue to push out a great deal of content and improve the product by adding new verticals.
In October, MC announced it was developing a sports betting product on the GiG Sport platform.
