Vereeni makes seven-figure investment in Indian DFS operator
Tim Heath-founded venture capital firm makes its second major investment in fantasy sports

Vereeni Investments has made a seven-figure investment in Indian daily fantasy sports (DFS) operator Nostragamus.
The Nostragamus app – which has downloaded more than five million times – allows players to win real-money prizes by drafting teams for cricket, football, basketball, tennis, badminton and kabaddi.
Nostragamus is the second DFS operator added to Vereeni’s investment portfolio after Australian start-up Moneyball, which is also set to launch a fixed-odds sportsbook, EGR Intel understands.

Vereeni Investments founder and CEO Tim Heath
Vereeni Investments founder and CEO Tim Heath said: “We have chosen to make a significant investment in Nostragamus because we are hugely impressed by its team and the speed at which it has scaled.
“India is an exciting market for the gaming industry, and Nostragamus’ innovative marketing and world-class product proposition places it at the head of the field,” he added.
Nostragamus will join Vereeni’s 100m Level Up tech fund alongside other early-stage fintech, online gaming and blockchain ventures including Global Gaming and mobile games developer OneTouch.
Nostragamus CEO Yashashvi Takallapalli said: “This investment from Vereeni will not only help us accelerate our growth, but also give us access to an unparalleled network of international egaming expertise.
“We are thrilled to join the Vereeni network and look forward to further pushing forward the fantasy sports vertical over the coming months and years.”
