GVC recruits Colin Cole-Johnson in gaming product director role
Former Rank exec joins the London-listed operator alongside new payments and compliance director Gabriele Griesbacher

GVC Holdings has recruited Rank Group’s Colin Cole-Johnson to the newly-created role of gaming product director, the operator announced today.
Industry veteran Cole-Johnson started at Ladbrokes in 1995 as a director of gaming, before spending six years with William Hill in Gibraltar.
His most recent position was as group director of digital and cross channel services at Rank Group, which he left in June 2019.
Cole-Johnson will be based in GVC’s London office and will be responsible for the operator’s casino, live and bingo products, reporting into deputy COO Valery Gelfman.
GVC has also appointed Gabriele Griesbacher as its new director of payments and compliance.
Griesbacher joins GVC from financial platform PXP Financial, which was formerly part of GVC Holdings as payments business Kalixa.
Griesbacher will be responsible for payments across the business with a particular focus on responsible gambling, Know Your Customer (KYC) and Source of Funds checks.
She will be based in Gibraltar, reporting directly into GVC COO Shay Segev.
Segev said: “We are delighted to have Gabriele and Colin joining us. Both have huge expertise in their respective areas and will further strengthen the group’s leadership team.
“Gabriele will spearhead our ever-increasing focus on compliance, ensuring we maintain a player-safety-first approach in everything we do.
“Colin will drive our gaming product forward, bringing his unparalleled industry experience and gaming expertise,” he added.
