EveryMatrix creates new games studio out of old GiG Games team
New studio will be based in Marbella and led by former GIG Games MD Mathias Larsson

EveryMatrix has announced the launch of its own games studio, made up of the team let go by Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) earlier this year.
The new Spearhead Studios is based in Marbella and led by Mathias Larsson, the former MD at GiG Games.
GiG Games was closed in September with 25 staff let go, as the operator sought to cut costs under new leadership.
“EveryMatrix is an established B2B brand and entering the game development sector was something which we wanted to do for some time now,” said Ebbe Groes, EveryMatrix CEO.
“Having a creative gaming studio led by a brilliant executive such as Mathias Larsson sets EveryMatrix apart in this competitive industry and we are confident that this combo is going to serve our clients and partners very well.
“The background for this acquisition is the tremendous success of our CasinoEngine product, which has strong synergies to Spearhead.
Groes said Spearhead would be “highly independent” and continue to earn market share based on its own merits.
Larsson has over 11 years of management experience within the iGaming industry, having founded XIN Gaming and working for Ezugi and HoGaming.
Larsson, MD of Spearhead Studios, added: “I’m very excited to play a part in the launch of Spearhead Studios and continue the work we’ve already started.
“We have a very talented and highly skilled team which will prove successful in the years to come. Being part of such a thriving company as EveryMatrix will strengthen our offering to the market and will help Spearhead reach a bigger audience.”
The Spearhead Studios’ team previously created Book of Souls which saw over 20 million game rounds in the first ten months post-launch.
The team said it plans to finish multiple video slots projects in the coming months and release several table games like Blackjack and Roulette.
