Matchbook CMO Shane Stafford to depart
Irish marketer will leave the Cork-based exchange bookie in December

Matchbook chief marketing officer (CMO) Shane Stafford will leave the exchange operator at the end of 2019.
Stafford, who joined Matchbook from BetVictor in 2018, will have spent one year in the executive role when his tenure comes to an end in December.
“We can confirm that Shane Stafford is leaving Matchbook,” the firm said in a statement provided to EGR Intel.
“We are constantly reviewing our business and marketing approach and will provide further news on appointments as and when they are made.”
The change is understood to be part of wider reorganisation in the exchange operator’s marketing department.
Before joining BetVictor, Stafford worked in Paddy Power’s creative department for a decade from 2006 to 2016.
Matchbook finished 46th in the EGR Power 50 2019, where the firm was recognised for its efforts bring more recreational customers to the platform through ‘exchange/sportsbook hybrid’ concepts like Matchbook Accas.
