Bet365 tops EGR Power 50 for tenth consecutive year
Gamesys Group enters the top ten for the first time as LeoVegas slips down

Bet365 has topped the EGR Power 50 for the tenth consecutive year, fending off strong competition from consolidating rivals.
The 2019 reporting period saw bet365 maintain its top position across all four judging categories, proving beyond doubt the benefits of scale and owning proprietary technology.
“Bet365 remains conspicuously absent from the merry-go round of M&A activity that engrosses the rest of the industry,” the report notes.
“Instead the operator continues its single-minded focus on offering the best sports betting product on the market – a focus that’s reflected in market share numbers in just about every jurisdiction 365 is active in. “
Five of the top 10 most-read stories on the EGR site last year were about bet365, including a potential legal case against an ICE imposter, the turning off of some payment options, and a legal case about restricting Spanish customers.
“Remove the bet365 name and these stories become a lot less interesting,” the report adds. “Which speaks to the sheer industry fascination with the company and its massive influence on the rest of the sector.
GVC Holdings came in second on the list, with The Stars Group and Flutter in third and fourth respectively ahead of their potential merger.
Kindred held steady at fifth position, while Tipico climbed one spot to six.
William Hill slipped one spot to seventh ahead of Gamesys Group, which was the only new entrant in the top 10 at eight. 888 and Betsson Group round out the top 10.
